New talk show in Roanoke, with Brian Gottstein

Greetings, all! I am taking my political column from the Roanoke Star Sentinel to the airwaves in a new show on WFIR AM 960 called Freedom & Prosperity Radio -- a weekly source for talk about the state and national politics that affect Virginians.

It's on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. in the former Drudge Report slot. The team and I that put the show together talk about the pork, the political moves, and the happenings at all levels of government. We also present positive, free market solutions for issues that are important to Virginians -- solutions for better schools, better roads, lower taxes, and smaller government.

Our guests include news-making politicians, those fighting against the rising burden of government, and national experts to give you insight you won’t hear anywhere else.

We started the show in mid-February, and our guests have already included Stephen Moore - senior economics editorialist for the Wall Street Journal, Del. Ben Cline, Sen. Ken Cuccinelli, nationally-renowned school choice expert Adam Schaeffer, and Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling. This weekend, our guest is Burton Folsom, author of the book New Deal or Raw Deal?: How FDR's Economic Legacy Has Damaged America.

We talk about how government is looking at another New Deal to solve our economic problems of today.

The show is already expanding to other markets around the state (we are on in Charlottesville, too). It's presented by Virginia’s premiere advocate for limited government, free markets, and free people, Tertium Quids. Please tune in!

Freedom & Prosperity Radio airs Sunday nights from 8:00 – 8:30 p.m. on WFIR 960 AM in Roanoke (tune in right at the top of the hour, because our show is not preempted by the news). If you miss the broadcast, you can listen to and download archives of the show at our Web site, www.FandPRadio.com.

As a final request, I would ask that you consider passing this email on to others to help us build our audience in the Roanoke Valley. And please support the show's local sponsors, because without them, we wouldn't have this outlet to get the small government message out. The sponsors are attorney David Nixon of Huffman and Nixon, Access Control Specialists, the Roanoke Star Sentinel, and TertiumQuids.org.

We are looking for two more sponsors (it's a bargain!), so if you are out there, email me, and I'll send you more information!

Thanks,

Brian Gottstein

P.S. - I'm still writing my columns for the Roanoke Star, so keep reading those, too!

Good luck with your show. It would be great if you could mention the Roanoke Tax Day Tea Party we're holding...here's the facebook link...

I'll tune in. Our local radio needs a local voice. I think people in Roanoke feel slightly sheltered from the mess they see growing around our nation and perhaps through your words of wisdom enlightenment can be accomplished.
